Our visit to PrincetonReview...
Hi fellas,
This is a bit of information I am sharing with you guys. Last Sunday Nalli, Bolli, Jenny and I happened to make a visit to PrincetonReview. We went there to get some information regarding how their batches are, what the fee would be, etc etc...
Address: 3rd floor, Afiza Towers [opp Life Style, next to MeBaz Extension].
We went into their office and right next to the main door was sitting a man. I thought he was the receptionist but he was the head of that center. He said his name was Sudip and asked us to sit at the desk. He started the discussion by asking what we are etc. Nalli said we have just passed out from college and are doing our first jobs. He asked us why only GMAT etc etc... We discussed all sorts of crap and important points with him for about one to one and half hour. Finally these were the main points of our discussion (Assuming that my memory is good :)).
1. The course lasts for 7 weeks [Not fixed, could be more too, depending on how the classes progress].
2. The books PrincetonReview [for GMAT] and 11th edition of the Official guide for GMAT will be free along with the course.
3. 5 CATs included with the package.
4. 1 free assessment test [will be taken before we join] to assess our initial level.
5. Weekend only batches... Saturday and Sunday only, because most of the students are working people.
6. Class strength will be only at max 12 (He said 7 students at max for a class).
7. The fee charged for the course is Rs 18,500 + Service Tax = Rs 20,670 [Approx].
The promises which he made were:
1. If you miss a class by any chance then you will have the chance to cover it, because they will see to it that they assign a separate tutor for you (in case required) to cover up the class.
2. Suppose you get a low score after the 7 weeks and want to review the course, then he said he will allow you to attend the classes again without any fee payment required for the next time.
3. Time of the classes will be decided only based on what the majority in a batch agree to.
4. After the GMAT test they will help us with identifying the colleges we can apply to, the Essay writing and SOP processes.
Some more [but useless points]
1. He said the max score from PrincetonReview by its student was 780 [till date].
2. Last month another candidate scored 760.
3. He said score improvement is guaranteed...
[All the above actually depend on the commitment of the student].

PrincetonReview is an organization based in New Jersey. They are a global company. You can get additional information about them at princetonreview.com . They offer coaching for GRE, GMAT, Toefl, SAT and the likes. No coaching indian entrance exams :). BTW their fee is on the high side, so why choose them for CAT when you have TIME and IMS? Anna... 7 weeks is their time of coaching you. You have to book for GMAT, so you decide. I am planning to complete GMAT max by Feb 2007. I would be planning for that... and applying for the fall of 2007 [with 2 years work ex] :), if that does not materialize I will be apping for fall of 2008 [with 3 years work ex] :(.

Where did those rankings appear? Give a link if possible when you cite some rankings... so that it would be possible for us to get additional information about the ranking and other process.
